Help - I have the meal, now what do I do?

REHEATING MADE EASY

The instructions here serve as general guidelines and best practices.

I'll leave some other tidbits in the product descriptions to help guide you to which method will work best.

If you have specific questions, reach out to me and I'm happy to help out.  Because great food deserves a great comeback.

Microwave (the MVP)

Fast, friendly, and perfect for most meals.  Your daily meals are delivered in black, microwave-safe containers.

Best for: saucy dishes, casseroles, grains, proteins with moisture, veggies.

  • Heat 1–2 minutes
  • Stir or rotate
  • Continue in 30–60 second bursts until hot

Tip: Cover with a wet paper towel.  Add a splash of water or broth if things look dry.

Oven (for even heating + gentle crisp)

When you want it hot and happy.

Best for: casseroles, roasted meats, baked pastas, anything needing even heat.

  • Preheat to 350°F
  • Transfer meal to an oven-safe dish
  • Heat 15–20 minutes for single portions
  • Larger portions: 20–30 minutes

Tip:  Cover with foil if you want to keep moisture in.

Toaster Oven (mini‑oven for small portions)

Best for: anything that benefits from gentle crisping without drying

Great for small portions that need a little crisp.

  • Set to 325–350°F
  • Transfer meal to an oven safe dish
  • Heat 10–15 minutes

Tip:  If the top browns too fast, tent with foil.

Air Fryer (for the crisp‑seekers)

Best for: roasted veggies, potatoes, breaded items, flatbreads, roasted proteins.

Perfect for potatoes, roasted veggies, and anything that likes a little crunch.

  • Set to 325°F
  • Transfer meal to the air basket
  • Heat 5–8 minutes, shake halfway

Tip:  For saucy dishes: place in a small oven‑safe dish inside the basket.

From Frozen

I find it best to defrost the meals either in the fridge the day before or by using the defrost setting on the microwave before cooking.

Basic Method

  • Use the Defrost setting (or 30% power if your microwave doesn’t have one).
  • Heat in 2–3 minute intervals.
  • Flip, stir, or break apart pieces between intervals.
  • Repeat until thawed but not hot.

General Timing

  • Single portions: 4–7 minutes total
  • Larger portions: 8–12 minutes total
  • Soups/saucy dishes: Stir every 2 minutes to keep edges from cooking

Tips

  • If edges start to cook, drop to 20% power and continue.
  • Once thawed, switch to regular reheating instructions
